The ultimate 5-minute party appetizer! A rich, bubbly, and gooey baked cheese dip made with cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar, and Monterey Jack.

Ingredients

• 8 oz 225 g cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup 240 g sour cream
• 1½ cups 170 g shredded cheddar cheese, divided
• 1 cup about 115 g shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Mix the softened cream cheese and sour cream in a medium bowl until smooth and creamy.
Stir in 1 cup of the cheddar and ¾ cup of the Monterey Jack until evenly combined.
Transfer the mixture to a small baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and Monterey Jack evenly over the top.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden around the edges.
Cool for 2-3 minutes, then serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, toasted bread, or fresh vegetables.

Grate your cheese from a block. Bagged shredded cheese often contains starches or anti-caking coatings that can make this dip grainy instead of silky and smooth.
