I love vintage recipes and this cheesecake flavored ambrosia salad is just that…a classic recipe from my grandma’s cookbook. It combines all the flavors of the traditional dessert salad with a cheesecake twist. So, I guess it has been somewhat modernized from the classic recipe. Either way, you make this yummy salad it always turns out amazingly well. Talk about a yummy treat in a bowl! I think I must have had 3 servings!
My husband isn’t a big fan of these types of desserts a she is more of a chocolate cake kind of guy but even he said this sweet salad was great.

My kids liked it too and that is always a plus. Enjoy!

I am in love with this ambrosia salad! It tastes so amazingly good! I cannot believe how easy it is to make, either. With only a handful of ingredients, you can quickly mix up this desserty delight in no time flat. My mother would make a similar salad and bring it to church potlucks and everyone went crazy over it. I think she may have put some sort of nuts in hers. Would you put nuts in yours? if, so, which kind?
