Here’s A Cake That Is Sure To Wow The Crowds!

Have you ever seen a cake recipe that immediately made you think; “Oh boy, this is going to be amazing!” That’s exactly what I thought when I first came across this recipe. When you combine chocolate and coconut, it’s bound to be delicious! This cake not only tastes incredible, but it’s also a show stopper! I am definitely not a cake maker (ask anyone) but this cake is so easy to put together, it’s impossible to fail!

If you’re short on time, you could always use store-bought, pre-baked chocolate cake layers. But I highly recommend using this recipe to make the cake – it’s so scrumptious, it’s worth every minute it takes! You could, of course, make the cake ahead and freeze it until ready for filling and frosting. This cake is topped with melted, semisweet chocolate but you could try using white chocolate instead. It’s really a matter of personal preference!

That dark, rich cake resembles a brownie so you can imagine how super delicious it is! This recipe has been a great hit over at Baked By An Introvert. It has received plenty of wonderful feedback from readers – let’s take a look at what some of them have said about it:

I made this for my Christmas dessert and am so happy with how it turned out. Thank you so much for this awesome recipe!

This is one of the most gorgeous cakes that I have ever seen, and I absolutely love the flavor combo. WOW!!!

You don’t necessarily need to add the chocolate glaze at all, if you think the cake is chocolatey enough without it. Personally I think it really is “the icing on the cake” and it does not take it over the top, so there’s no need to worry about that!

Ingredients

For the cake

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 ounces Hershey’s semisweet chocolate finely chopped
