Chick Fil A Lemonade

With just the perfect amount of sweet and tart flavors, this copycat Chick Fil A lemonade can be whipped up right in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Ingredients

1⅓ cups freshly squeezed lemon juice, 6 large lemons
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup VERY cold water
6 cups vanilla bean ice cream
4 to 5 drops yellow food coloring, optional
4 sliced lemons, optional garnish

Instructions

Add the lemon juice and sugar to a 7 to 8 cup blender. Blend at low speed on either the milkshake or smoothie setting for 30 to 45 seconds. (This is a quick and easy way to dissolve and blend the lemon juice and sugar).
Keep the mixer at low speed on the milkshake or smoothie setting, and drizzle in the cold water. Blend for 10 to 15 seconds.
Add the 6 cups of ice cream to the lemonade. Secure the lid and pulse on low until the ice cream and lemonade are well blended. Pour into 14-ounce glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

When fresh lemons are on sale at the grocery store, buy a bag full of them and juice them. You can freeze lemon juice in ice cube trays so that you always have fresh juice on hand.
This delicious lemonade recipe makes four drinks but can easily be doubled to serve more people.
To keep your frosted lemonade as cold as possible while you’re enjoying it, you can place your (freezer-safe) serving glasses into the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes before filling them with your drink.
