Country Style BBQ Ribs Don’t Get Any Better Than This!

One, because I don’t know the proper way to cook them…and two because they always seem to turn out too dry and flavorless when I do take a crack at them. My husband always orders ribs when we go out to eat so I was bound and determined to figure these things out. When I was looking on the internet, I found this recipe and figured…what’s the worst that could happen?
It’s pretty hard to screw something up if it’s done in a slow cooker making it seem like this recipe was made for me. It was a huge success. These ribs practically fell right off the bone they were so tender.

The sauce complimented the meat perfectly making each bite a little bit of heaven. My husband ate the majority of them, and when they were gone, he was looking for more. Next time I will have to double up on the recipe. I’m sure there is plenty that can be done with the leftovers they are so good!

One of my favorite things about this meal is that it is done in a crock pot and as long as the pan is lined properly, clean up is done in just minutes! There’s nothing a busy mom loves more than an empty sink. I would have never thought of cooking with apple cider until I came across this recipe. It really adds to the tenderness of the slow-cooked ribs!
This recipe will soon become your favorite, too!

  • 2 pkg country ribs – about 18 – 20
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 Tbsp minced garlic, from jar and a little juice
  • 2 c Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce
  • 1 c apple cider
  • 1/2 c Domino’s brown sugar
  • garlic salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp McCormick’s red pepper flakes

Instructions

Pour cider into pot. Sprinkle ribs evenly with garlic and brown sugar. Toss to coat. Place lid on pot and cook on high for 4 hours or until tender. Remove the ribs and onions from bag and discard bag.

Serve these tender, tasty ribs immediately.
