Low Carb Crustless Pizza Bowl




Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional toppings: pepperoni slices, sliced olives, mushrooms, bell peppers

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or sausage over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Pour the meat sauce into oven-safe bowls or a large baking dish.
6. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Add your desired toppings.
7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
