Greek Cheese Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the olive oil, milk, and egg until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the crumbled feta cheese and shredded mozzarella cheese. Add parsley if desired.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
